Business Development Executive. - Job Id:5

We are looking for a candidate to recruit for the position of BDE with minimum 5- 10 years’ experience in Commercial and Business Development from Marine Industry. The position is based in Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities.

  • Leads the development of new business opportunities for the Company in the targeted regions.
  • Develops marketing plan and market development strategy. Maintains close relationships cross departmentally to ensure transparency in contract reporting and information access.
  • Develop independent vessel operating service unit as a profit center.
  • Develop shipping services with well-known customers from the shipping industry.
  • Securing short and long term contracts for our own vessels and the vessels which has been entrusted for commercial management.
  • Securing new offshore vessels contracts in the offshore oil and gas sector.
  • Coordinates the deployment of the Company's assets, ensuring optimal utilization.
  • Reviews all tenders and coordinate and monitor contract execution.
  • Conducts monthly reporting and market analysis on chartering and other commercial activities. Ensures that the senior management teams are kept fully up to date.
  • Must identify suitable industry events and take a lead role to participate in the selected trade shows and or industry exhibitions.

Required Competency.

  • Appropriate Maritime Degree or equivalent Post Graduate Qualification in Marketing / Business Development discipline.
  • Minimum 5 to 10 years previous experience working in the offshore marine or Oil & Gas industry.
  • Must have strong business & commercial acumen (knowledge of marine contracts & tendering process) with great presentation skills. Should be familiar with BIMCO charter party agreements.
  • Good Communication skill in English. Arabic speaking would be an added advantage but not mandatory.
  • Good knowledge about offshore fleets, Commercial Management and Maritime Economics.
  • Adept in marketing and business development planning.
  • Has good relationship with offshore industry clients.
  • Can meet the targets with in the defined timeframe and able to work under pressure.
  • Preference will be given to the candidates with experience in vessel chartering & brokering and the Member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers.

Chief Engineer (Unlimited License). - Job Id:4

Job Scope:

Chief Engineer is responsible to the Master for the efficient operation and maintenance of all machinery and equipment on-board.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform all work in the vessel in accordance with safe work practices, polices and procedure.
  • Ordering, receiving, stocking and issuing of engine room stores and spare parts
  • Organising and maintain effective temporary and permanent repairs.
  • Implementing corrective and preventive maintenance of all shipboard machinery, electrical appliances and systems.
  • Maintain necessary records of maintenance conducted in Engine room.
  • Do Sounding as per Company’s operational procedures and provide details to Chief Officer on daily basis.
  • Supervise the effectiveness of the work carried out by the onshore work shop technicians and contractors.
  • Make hot works permits and supervise the conduct of all hot works on-board.
  • Implement Company QHSE policy and procedure in his areas on-board vessel.
  • Motivate engine crew to maintain safe work culture.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping of his area on-board the vessel.
  • Should wear and ensure all engine crews on-board using appropriate safety equipment and PPE during work.    
  • Undertake other assignments as advised appropriate by the Technical Superintendent/Department Head. 

Qualification & Experience:

  • Chief Engineer Unlimited COC as per STCW 2010, issued from white list countries & Valid STCW mandatory training certificates.
  • 3 to 4 years experience in the same rank in same/similar type of vessel.
  • Offshore experience is must.
  • Good leadership and communication skills.


Chief Officer- Landing Craft (Master 3000GT License). - Job Id:3

Jobe Scope:

Assist the Master to ensure safe and efficient operation, navigation, management, maintenance of the vessel and safety of the cargo carried.

Act as a vessel safety officer to ensure that HSE requirements as per IMSM are complied on the vessel all the time. 

Duties & Resposibilities:

  • Standing bridges watches, safe navigation and watch keeping duties
  • Perform all vessel work in accordance with Company safe work practise, policies and procedures.
  • In charge of garbage management on board and maintain Log as required.
  • Plan the mooring arrangements and brief the seaman prior to arrival in port.
  • Ensure sufficient number of walkie-talkies are available and in working order.
  • Handle all loading or discharging papers and calculation results of ship stability prior to vessel departure.
  • Ensure that the anchors are ready to be lowered when approaching a berth or transiting narrow waters.
  • Keep the Master informed of the condition of the hull, tanks, pipelines, and deck  
  • Supervise and responsible for Cargo operations, towing and lashing.
  • Ensure safe stability of the vessel.
  • Raise and follow-up appropriate requisition for vessel maintenance
  • Ensure maintenance/administration of navigation chart, publications and safety equipment
  • Motivate vessel crew for involvement in Company QHSE practises.
  • Maintain on-board discipline and enhance crew morale.
  • Supervise the overall housekeeping, cleanliness and hygienic condition of the galley and accommodation spaces.
  • Assist in implementing Company QHSE policies and procedure in on-board.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of deck equipment and vessel material condition.
  • Supervise the preparation of food and ensure all in Hygienic condition.
  • Should wear appropriate safety equipment and PPE during work.
  • Must play ship sercurity officer role & perform responsibilities onboard.
  • Undertake other assignments as advised appropriate by the Master, Marine Superintendent/Department Head.

  • 3 to 4 years experience as chief Officer in same/similar type of vessel.

Master- Landing Craft (Unlimited License). - Job Id:2

Job Scope:

Master is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of vessel, including crew management, navigation, cargo operations and making sure that the vessel is in compliance with all international and local laws, as well as any state or company policies.

The master is responsible and accountable to Ship Owner/management for the safety of the crew and the safe operations of vessel while at the same time protecting owners and charters commercial interests.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all shipboard activities are planned, organized in accordance with the Company QHSE, Charterers requirements, and national and international regulations.
  • Voyage plans and vessel navigation is conducted in a safe manner to achieve cost effective maintenance and operation of the vessel machinery and equipment, to maximize reliability and avoid unnecessary break down time.
  • Cargo handling, stowage and transportation are controlled in a safe and environmentally acceptable manner, and that the voyage is expedited with minimum delay or loss Safety, pollution prevention, Emergency preparedness and program of response drills and exercises to deal with emergency situations.
  • Report incidents and non-conformities on time.
  • The Master may use “Standing Orders” to comply with the Company operating policies or procedures but must not occur conflicts.
  • All shipboard administration is carried out in an accurate and timely manner in line with Company policies and instructions, and international regulations.
  • Should develop professional abilities of subordinates and motivate them for involvement in QHSE activities.
  • Maintain good customer relation by providing quality service to the client
  • Communicate with Head Office as required to ensure vessel safe operation and continuous provision of quality service.
  • Supervise the loading, securing and discharge of cargo.
  • Ensure proper implementation of new hire familiarization programme as per company policy and maintain the records on-board.
  • Ensure vessel compliance to statutory and regulatory rules and regulation.
  • Coordinate during vessel surveys & repair/maintenance.
  • Ensure maintenance of high standard of vessel operational condition.
  • Contact the Marine superintendent at any time for advice or support if in doubt concerning any matter related to safety and pollution prevention management on board the vessel.
  • Should wear and ensure all other crews on-board using appropriate safety equipment and PPE during work.
  • Inspect vessels every 15 days as a minimum, accompanied by the Chief Engineer and Chief Officer to ensure all accommodation, crew cabins, galley and laundry room are kept to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene. The inspection shall be recorded in the Log Book.
  • Undertake other assignments as advised appropriate by the Marine Superintendent/Department Head.

Overriding Authority:

  • The Master has overriding authority on-board Clients vessels with respect to making decisions related to safety and pollution prevention, and to request the Company’s assistance as may be necessary. The above statement does not in any way relieve the Master of his duties or obligation towards the clients with respect to any orders or instruction issued that do not compromise the safety of the vessel or crew. The Master may in the interests of vessel or crew safety depart from the requirements of the QHSE where particular circumstances so dictate.

  • 3 to 4 years experience in the same rank in same/similar type of vessel.
