CHIEF OFFICER- LANDING CRAFT (MASTER 3000GT LICENSE).

Jobe Scope:

Assist the Master to ensure safe and efficient operation, navigation, management, maintenance of the vessel and safety of the cargo carried.

Act as a vessel safety officer to ensure that HSE requirements as per IMSM are complied on the vessel all the time.

Duties & Resposibilities:
  • Standing bridges watches, safe navigation and watch keeping duties
  • Perform all vessel work in accordance with Company safe work practise, policies and procedures.
  • In charge of garbage management on board and maintain Log as required.
  • Plan the mooring arrangements and brief the seaman prior to arrival in port.
  • Ensure sufficient number of walkie-talkies are available and in working order.
  • Handle all loading or discharging papers and calculation results of ship stability prior to vessel departure.
  • Ensure that the anchors are ready to be lowered when approaching a berth or transiting narrow waters.
  • Keep the Master informed of the condition of the hull, tanks, pipelines, and deck
  • Supervise and responsible for Cargo operations, towing and lashing.
  • Ensure safe stability of the vessel.
  • Raise and follow-up appropriate requisition for vessel maintenance
  • Ensure maintenance/administration of navigation chart, publications and safety equipment
  • Motivate vessel crew for involvement in Company QHSE practises.
  • Maintain on-board discipline and enhance crew morale.
  • Supervise the overall housekeeping, cleanliness and hygienic condition of the galley and accommodation spaces.
  • Assist in implementing Company QHSE policies and procedure in on-board.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of deck equipment and vessel material condition.
  • Supervise the preparation of food and ensure all in Hygienic condition.
  • Should wear appropriate safety equipment and PPE during work.
  • Must play ship sercurity officer role & perform responsibilities onboard.
  • Undertake other assignments as advised appropriate by the Master, Marine Superintendent/Department Head.
Qualification & Experience:
  • Master below 3000GT COC as per STCW 2010, issued from white list countries & Valid STCW mandatory training certificates.
  • 3 to 4 years experience as chief Officer in same/similar type of vessel.
  • Offshore experience is must.
  • Good leadership and communication skills.
